Imagine a world where no child should ever have to grieve alone.
Those words from Imagine Co-Founder and Executive Director Mary Robinson were my introduction to Imagine. In the years since I joined the Board of Trustees in 2015 and became treasurer in 2018, my wife Barbara and I have learned so much more about the incredible work that Imagine does each day.
Imagine performs a crucial role in helping children and families travel through the extreme grief of losing a parent or sibling. Providing a healthy place for children to connect and grieve with peers who have experienced similar losses will help them travel that difficult path.
Barbara and I have learned to support the organizations that matter to us because of the example of the generosity of our parents, Mollie and Israel Zukroff and Alvin and Ethel Koppel, who supported organizations that were meaningful to them. We want to provide resources to Imagine not only to aid the grieving now, but also to help sustain this wonderful organization well into the future. Consequently, it is of great importance to us to include Imagine as a significant priority in our wills.
We look to the future when indeed, no child will have to grieve alone.
